1. What We Collect

When you create an account or use SizzleHire, we may collect:

• Contact information — name, email address, phone number
• Account information — role (candidate or employer), organization details, job listings
• Video content — SizzleReel video introductions recorded by candidates
• Application data — job applications, screening responses, hiring decisions
• Approximate location — city and state derived from your IP address (via Cloudflare)
• Device and browser information — type, screen size, operating system
• Browsing behavior — pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, time on page

2. Why We Collect It

• To operate the SizzleHire hiring platform
• To match candidates with restaurant job opportunities
• To send hiring-related communications (SMS and email)
• To understand how people use our product so we can improve it
• To personalize your experience (e.g., showing relevant jobs by location)
• To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access

3. How We Store It

Your account and application data is stored on Supabase (Postgres), hosted in the United States. Video content is stored and delivered via Mux. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate SizzleHire:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Mux — video upload, processing, and delivery
• Twilio — SMS delivery (phone numbers shared solely for message delivery)
• Stripe — payment processing for employer subscriptions
• Resend — transactional and notification email delivery
• PostHog — product analytics and conversion tracking
• Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and web analytics

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. These services process data solely on our behalf to operate the platform.

5. Mobile and SMS Information

SizzleHire sends three categories of SMS messages to users who have separately opted in:

• Account Notifications — hiring-event alerts (application received, shortlisted, interview invite, hired or passed). Up to 5–10 messages per application.
• Customer Care — an AI assistant facilitates the hiring conversation on behalf of SizzleHire. Humans make all hire decisions. Up to 50 messages per active application.
• Marketing (Bench) — weekly job-alert re-engagement for candidates who separately opt in. Up to 1 message per week.

We will never sell, share, or provide your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message and data rates may apply. To opt out, reply STOP, ALTO, or CANCELAR at any time. Reply HELP for support. SMS consent is not required as a condition of using SizzleHire.

6. Email Communications

By creating an account, you may receive transactional emails related to your account activity, hiring events, and product updates. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests immediately.

7. Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how visitors and users interact with our product. This includes tracking page views, clicks, and scroll behavior. Text inputs in forms are masked by default. PostHog processes data on US-based servers and runs in cookieless mode.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which collects anonymized traffic data without using cookies or collecting personal information.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request we update inaccurate data
• Deletion — request we delete your account and data (honored within 30 days)
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from emails or SMS at any time

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Hiring records are retained for a minimum of 1 year per EEOC requirements. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days and cascade to all sub-processors (Twilio, Mux, Resend, PostHog, Cloudflare).

10. California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA.

11. Children's Privacy

SizzleHire is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at privacy@sizzlehire.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
